Computational Disclaimer

BaZi API is a developer-focused software service that provides programmatic access to traditional Chinese calendrical and Four Pillars calculation data.

The service operates as a computational and calendrical software engine. Its outputs are provided for software development, educational, cultural, informational, and entertainment purposes only.

BaZi API does not provide fortune-telling, psychic readings, personal consultations, medical diagnosis or treatment, legal advice, financial advice, investment advice, or deterministic predictions about a person's future or life outcomes.

Users are responsible for how they use API outputs within their own applications and services.

3. Billing & Payment Processing

BaZi API offers Free, monthly, and yearly subscription plans for access to its developer API services.

Merchant of Record & Payment Security

Payment processing, subscription billing, invoicing, applicable taxes, and related payment services are handled through our designated third-party payment provider and Merchant of Record, as applicable to each transaction. We do not receive or store customers' raw payment card information on our own systems.

We provide monthly and yearly recurring subscription plans: Free ($0), Basic ($19/mo or $180/yr), Pro ($49/mo or $468/yr), and Premium ($149/mo or $1,428/yr).

Paid plans renew automatically on the billing anniversary unless canceled prior to the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time with zero penalty through your user dashboard or through the billing management mechanism provided with your subscription.

4. API Keys, Quotas & Rate Limits

API access is authenticated via cryptographic headers (x-api-key: bazi_*). You are solely responsible for keeping your keys private and secure:

  • Free Plan: 1,000 requests/month, 30 RPM, 1 API Key (30-day validity).
  • Basic Plan: 50,000 requests/month, 300 RPM, 3 API Keys (Permanent).
  • Pro Plan: 250,000 requests/month, 500 RPM, 10 API Keys (Permanent).
  • Premium Plan: 1,000,000 requests/month, 1,000 RPM, 30 API Keys (Permanent).

Exceeding rate limits will result in an HTTP 429 Too Many Requests status code. You may not attempt to circumvent rate limits by creating duplicate accounts or rotating compromised keys.

5. Cancellation & Refund Terms

We offer a transparent 7-day money-back guarantee on first-time subscription purchases if you experience unresolvable technical issues and have consumed less than 15% of your plan's monthly request quota.

For comprehensive criteria and step-by-step refund submission instructions, please review our dedicated Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute raw API responses as a competing standalone BaZi API service.
  • Engage in denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, stress tests, or unauthorized penetration testing.
  • Use the API to facilitate unlawful harassment, discrimination, or deceptive consumer practices.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract proprietary calculation algorithms from API responses.

7. Intellectual Property

BaZi API and all associated software, documentation, and content are the property of the service operator. The API returns calculation results based on traditional Chinese calendar algorithms; the underlying calculation engine and software implementation remain proprietary.

You retain full ownership of applications you build using BaZi API output data.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BaZi API and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from downtime, calculation inaccuracies, data loss, or decisions made based upon calculation outputs.
