n8n Automation Guide
for BaZi API

Build serverless automation workflows connecting BaZi API to Telegram, Discord, Notion, PostgreSQL, or Google Sheets without writing backend boilerplate.

1Trigger Node (Webhook, Form, or Schedule)

Start your workflow with an n8n Form trigger, Typeform webhook, or incoming chat message from Telegram. Extract the user’s birth date, birth time, and timezone.

2HTTP Request Node Setup

Add an HTTP Request node configured as follows:

{
  "method": "POST",
  "url": "https://api.baziapi.pro/api/v2/bazi/calculate",
  "authentication": "genericCredentialType",
  "genericAuthType": "httpHeaderAuth",
  "sendHeaders": true,
  "headerParameters": {
    "parameters": [
      {
        "name": "x-api-key",
        "value": "={{ $env.BAZI_API_KEY }}"
      }
    ]
  },
  "sendBody": true,
  "contentType": "json",
  "bodyParameters": {
    "parameters": [
      { "name": "birthDate", "value": "={{ $json.birthDate }}" },
      { "name": "birthTime", "value": "={{ $json.birthTime }}" },
      { "name": "gender", "value": "={{ $json.gender }}" },
      { "name": "timezone", "value": "={{ $json.timezone || 'Asia/Shanghai' }}" }
    ]
  }
}

3Downstream Processing & LLM Summaries

Chain the response into an OpenAI or Claude node in n8n to format an elegant daily briefing or compatibility report, then send it via Telegram or save to Airtable.
